2012 Senate Balance of Power – Rasmussen Reports™
This is an interesting poll, I’ve been quoted predicting grid lock in the Senate with the power leaning towards Republicans. There are 10 GOP up for grabs, & 18 for the Dumicrats. I love grid lock in the Senate, especially with a Republican House, & a Republican in the White House.
At the point of where we are in our history, I would rather the Republicans do not have all three branches of Government, frankly I don’t trust they will behave. Grid lock in the Senate forces the Dumicrats to join the GOP politically on important issues, and simultaneously forcing the GOP to succumb to the will of the people. Now the power swinging slightly to the Republicans, along with the VPs vote keeps us safe in the Supreme Court.
Then in the mid term election of 2014, we can take a look at what they’ve done for us, who is “We The People” friendly, and who is not. We can decide weather or not Republicans are worthy of having more power in the Senate. “Talk is cheap, action is everything.”
I want to see the borders secured, Budget Amendment signed into law, all law suits dropped in Arizona, as well as giving that street all the tools needed to protect the people in that state. My wish list also includes shutting the IRS down, & open a smaller version, called “The Peoples Bank” to collect revenue from a National Sales Tax. There is a plethora of items on that list, but if I see much progress in earnest on these few things, then maybe we can give more power to the Republicans. I’m a firm believer they need to earn our trust.
Unfortunate in my opinion, it is to late to reverse OCare. Yet Mr Romney should get together with highly reputable Doctors in our country & fix it. In addition, get rid of all the mandates, and single payer crap. The Budget Amendment will open the door to begin paying down our Deficit.
I’m not predicting right now who will lead the Senate, & Congress, but I would like to see Boehner and Reed gone! Had Romney picked someone else for VP, I would have chosen Ryan to the Speakership.
